I voted for Boston because that is who I think will win. But honestly I don't care. I won't watch as I dislike both teams.

Go Astros!

I'm with IdRather, rooting for neither nor have interest in watching the series.

He's a bit of trivia.

Each team that has advanced in the playoffs, won on the road, with the exception of the Yankees, who beat the Athletics at home in the Wild Card game.

CRAZY game.
It was on in the other room. I wandered in to see what was going on from time to time. Finally had to call it quits and go to bed. I was brushing my teeth when LA scored the final run.

I saw this stat.
  • Game 3 lasted longer than the game time of the entire 1939 World Series. In that series, the New York Yankees swept the Cincinnati Reds in four games that lasted a combined seven hours and five minutes.
I've been saying for years that they've got to speed-up the game. It's gotten re-goddam-diculous. This proves it.

This doesn't happen often, but yeah, games could be a bit shorter. 2 1/2 hours would be fine by me. At 2 hours, it's hardly worth the effort to go to a game.

Cut the season by 10%. Shorten the game to 7 innings. Extra innings only in the playoffs. Tie breakers will be based on hits, then extra base hits, home runs, triples, doubles, singles, BB, HBP.

Soccer tournaments play one home game each with combined scores added in case of two ties. Away team points count more when breaking a tie

The previous games were over 4 hours, close to 5. So 2 1/2 is more than a bit, it's half the length. To get to that, they have to fix a lot of things that are IMO fixable.

A regular season game usually lasts about 3 hours.
2.5 should be reasonable.

They stretch post-season games out for advertising dollars.
MLB needs to be serious about shortening the games.

I'm thinking more along the lines of: eliminating pitcher/batter delays; limit foul hits. Limit chats with the pitcher. Limit throws to check runners. Move the game along.
