Welcome to the 545th edition of Who Am I?, the weekly game where I dish out a daily clue to a subject and you have to guess who or what it is.

Every day, the clues get easier. The winner of this week's game gets a piece of my gratitude.

This week's subject is a TITLE.

CLUE #1: I was written in the 1930s.

Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. If my guess is wrong, I will not be upset. Not a bit. I'm taking my Soma. :D

The song I Only Have Eyes For You was written by Harry Warren and Al Dubin in 1934 for the movie Dames. Can you imagine a movie with that title in 2020? Anyway, Tex Avery directed a 1937 cartoon with the same title. It involved an ice man. "Eyes," "ice" – get it?

Congrats, Channel 98!

Yes, C98 is correct regarding the song "I Only Have Eyes For You". It was written for a movie called "Dames" and the great Fred "Tex" Avery made a 1937 Warner Bros. Merrie Melody cartoon surrounding the song.

The next two clues were that the most-famous version of the song was recorded in 1959 by The Flamingos. Of course, it would be one of the most-iconic songs in early rock history.

Probably the 2nd-most famous version was by none other than Art Garfunkel, recorded in 1975 and reached #18 on the pop charts in America and #1 in the UK. Garfunkel performed his version on the second episode of Saturday Night Live.

New game next week!

It seemed likely that 98 got it, so I gave up. Congrats! Your knowledge of all things pre-1960 has paid off.

Al Dubin was a good songwriter but not very good with grammar. The title should be I Have Eyes For Only You. The word "only" should precede the word it modifies, which, in this case, is "you."

This version by the Lettermen reached #72 in July 1966:
