Yes.
...
While not exactly about the movies, I'll revive this old thread since it has a Bond title.
I've been listening to the James Bonding podcast lately and it inspired me to go through the entire Bond catalog. I grew up with Pierce as Bond and until now have only seen his and Dan's movies. So far on my quest I've made it to 1967's You Only Live Twice.
Dr. No - What a slog. I guess it was action packed in 62 but oh boy did it seem really drawn out. 2/5
From Russia with Love - Better than the first one, the train parts were cool but still not great. 2.5/5
Goldfinger - I loved this one! What a fun movie. By far my favorite of the ones I've seen so far. 4.5/5
Thunderball - All the underwater stuff was cool but besides that it was much like From Russia, not great. 3/5
You Only Live Twice - The step op the action in this one and I like the Space/Japanese angle. Plus we finally see Blofeld. 3.5/5
I've come to the conclusion that I don't like the Terrence Young Bond movies. Thunderball is pretty good but that's it. And Hamilton's Goldfinger is a great movie, not just a great Bond movie.
I intend to watch the original Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again last as those 2 are not truly in the Bond movie timeline.
Diamonds Are Forever is the best, most campy James Bond movie ever
Lazenby would have been good, but I won't spoil it for you.
Also, what is the Bond timeline? Are all the 007's actors playing the same person or are they different people who hold the 007 position? I think it's the former but I'm not sure.
