Every day he brings up Stern or the Stern show for whatever reason. He's been referring to howard or the show for 2 weeks or more now. It's always a for a comparison or something. Today he was ranting about how hard it is to be a coach these days when the players make more money than the coaches and how they're prima donna's, then he say's its like trying to be a program director with a bunch of Howard Sterns on your staff. Did these 2 ever have a beef?

IMO it's just respect. He recognizes that Stern is the icon of the industry. It's Big Boy Radio :).

This quote isn't offensive to me as it seems that he is saying how are you a program director when you work with Howard Stern? Meaning, how do you tell Howard what to do when he clearly knows more than you anyway.

But, while i like Colin Cowherd, he can sometimes try to battle with people that are bigger than him.

Thats whats confusing, on one hand he sounds like he's giving him props and on the other hand he uses it negatively, like howard is a prima donna and he's hell to manage as a PD. Thats just one example tho, he is always referring to him for one reason or another. I'm giving him the benefit saying its respect, but it's hard to tell, just weird how he gets his name in every day.

I met him down in LA a few months ago, he's been referencing Stern for years now. He listens to him in the car, after he drops the kids off at school. He loves Howard. He just used him as an example of having too many stars on a team that a coach might have trouble getting control of, since they make more money.

Oddly enough, I've been listening to a lot of Colin since for some reason I've really gotten back into Baseball and the NBA finals this year.

I like his show. He isn't afraid to make fun of atheltes and their games.

I used to listen to his show until commercials took over. His show started at 10am. He would actually talk at 10:05am. Then he would go to commercial at 10:11. He would be back by 10:15 and then go to commercial at 10:22. He does this little news thing thats called around the something(I forget the rest) where he goes around to the biggest sports stories. It would start at 10:25 and be over by 10:32 and then you guessed it back to commercial. I have no idea how anyone can listen to him.

This is SSSSSSOOOOOOO true. Last week, while listening to a lot of HERD, the commercials were crazy. The breaks were way to often and way too long.
