What sort of programs come on XM 173 (WLW 700)?

I'm just wondering. I noticed they were doing Xavier basketball yesterday, and I've heard them talk Reds baseball in the past once. Are they mainly Cincinnati sports oriented?

Seeing as they're a Cincinnati radio station, yes. Clear Channel owns WLW and put them on XM a few years ago. I'm from Cincinnati, so it's really convenient when I'm out of town and I want to catch up on local news and sports. I think CC chose WLW to put on the sats because it's one of the few stations they own that is local programming nearly 24/7. Other big Clear Channel stations like KFI Los Angeles, WIOD Miami and KOA Denver have Rush Limbaugh on in the middle of the day, while WLW has local host Bill Cunningham instead. Rush doesn't want to be on satellite, so that's how it happened.

When XM launched, Clear Channel chose to take the local content on KFI and place it on Buzz XM (the old XM 166). The shows didn't like being on XM though because they weren't being paid for it, so they were pulled.

Right now, the only local weekday content on KFI is Bill Handel, John and Ken, and Kennedy and Suits. Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura consume 9 AM to 3 PM, with Coast to Coast taking 10 PM to 5 AM (with 2-5 being a rebroadcast).
