I have these programs on my iPhone to listen to music...

1. iPod (of course)
2. Pandora
3. AOL Radio
4. Last.fm
5. iheartradio

And these two programs are amazing...you can hold your phone up to a radio, tv or other music source and they will tell you the song, artist and even tag it for purchase.

1. Shazam
2. Midomi

I have:

Slacker (favorite) as of 1/13/09
Pandora (2nd favorite)
AOL (volume is rather low)
Flycast (this one is still rather buggy)

My one complaint and it is my understanding this is an Apple requirement, but basically if you hit the home screen button if you are listening to one of these, the music quits. I wish Apple allowed background listening of these Applications, like you can with iPod music.

FStream - KERA (Dallas NPR)
AOL Radio - Seattle Air America affiliate
Last.fm - Occasional use
Pandora - Best application ever. All it needs is the ability to turn off auto-lock and to show track times. It'll then be perfect.

In this order:

Slacker
Wunderradio (for the scanners mostly, a close second to Slacker as far as usefulness and coolness.)
Last.fm
AOL Radio
Pandora
Flycast (I want to give this app a chance, but it's been a major disappointment up to this point, maybe an update will fix it.)
iHeartRadio (not for music, but for my news/local talk blowtorch on my iPhone).
