I have 26 gigs of stern recording. 2006-12 or so. Bits, interviews, the entire stern history broadcast, birth bash and a little bit more. I know much of that is online or on Sirius but the more random bits are here. Any interest then I can load them to a USB and send to you.

Apparently some people want to start a Texas Stock Exchange.

I'd like to buy stock in DRCK and some stock in MGDT.

Dammit! The joke doesn't work because both of those already exist! (And actually, DRCK has done quite good over the last 4-5 years.)

June 13, 1994:

12 p.m.: Returning to Los Angeles after being informed of his ex-wife’s death, Simpson arrives at his mansion where he is handcuffed and then taken to the police station where he’s questioned for hours.

(I thought it was after the chase, but I guess not.)

In 2003, Peter Dinklage said that when he was younger he was often angry and bitter, but that as he got older, he realized he "just [has] to have a sense of humor" to know "that it's not your problem. It's theirs."

He later said:
"I said what I wanted to say… I have a friend who says the world doesn't need another angry dwarf."

(As we all know, Hank died in 2001.)

Office mate is out this and next week so I'm listening to 9/25/2002. Howard is saying he's considering getting a bulldog and naming it Bianca. Artie says, "That's a name for a little foofie dog!"

Bianca died Jul 18, 2012.

The dog's full name was quite a mouthful: Bianca Romijn-Stamos-O'Connell-Ostrosky-Stern.

Bianca's Furry Friends.

When she died, obviously Howard was a wreck. The part about her butt-stain on the closet wall... Howard said he couldn't bear to remove the stain. I'm sure he finally did... but when?

Listening to 9/27/2002. Henry Hill is on the phone and was talking about a three-way he had with a girl and another guy. The guys started insinuating things between Henry and the other guy, and he denied it.

Then some guy named Paul Mazzei called in. They were in prison together over a "point-shaving scheme" (where they tell the star player on a college basketball team whether to score a lot of points or not, and benefit from it on the gambling). It started out with Henry praising Paul (Paul was kinda positive and kinda negative). Then it took an ugly turn:

Paul: Earlier in this conversation, you even lied to Howard and these other people and the audience talking about the 'fagula'. You oughta tell them the truth about that.
Howard: Paul, what are you saying? Are you saying Henry's gay?
Paul: You talked about a threesome with two guys and a girl. Well, I was the other guy [BUTTON GETS HIT] by the name of Rosa.
Howard: And what happened?
Paul: What happened was we were all involved, entangled in this three-way deal ... I'm embarrassed to tell you and tell your audience that in that three-way, I wound up in his mouth.
[LOUD 'WHOA's AND OH's IN THE BACKGROUND]
Paul: That's the gospel truth. I'm not proud of it, but that's the gospel truth.

I miss THIS Howard Stern show. They used to have big revelations, put guests on the spot and call them out big time.

Here's the news story about the point shaving from 1981:

Still listening to 9/27/2002.

My current text notification sound is Gary saying "Hello, hello" from his infamous home video.

I found two more good clips from the 9/27 show during a segment where Gary didn't verify an article was legit (about the person in the Montreal Expos mascot uniform being gay) and Howard's chastising him. One is Gary saying "I'm the dick. There's no doubt." And the other is "I was wrong. I'm wrong. I'm wrong. I'm wrong. I'm wrong. I'm wrong."

Sharing all three in case anyone wants them for soundclips/ringtones/whatever.

Listened to 10/1/2002 - The nearlywed game (Match game between Howard/Beth, Robin/Mr X, Artie/Dana). What a big mess with the oil & vinegar vs vinagrette controversy! The next morning they were still fighting about it for a half hour!

In case anyone wants to re-live it, I have it cued up to that specific question.

I was at a restaurant and that contest was on the tv. Gross. Would have preferred a different thing to see than people stuffing 50 hot dogs in their mouth with the puffed cheeks and the chewing and yuck.

There was a caller once who suggested an Artie-based spinoff of "Deal or No Deal" called "Meal or No Meal."

Howard had zero interest in running with it.
