What am I not getting Kid Chris?

From time to time Howard seems to pick a protege... I am thinking of Bob Schimel (sp) and there have been others. He kind of declares in a flat voice that so and so is funny.. His latest protege seems to be Kid Chris. What am I missing? What is remotely funny about posting a notice that he is going to kill a puppy if it is not adopted or whatever that bit was? How did this guy get Howard's attention? Is he a one of Beth's friends? No... he is guy. Anyone have a theory?

I haven't heard the full show but I'm listening to the replay now.

Kidd Chris has been around the show for a while. he is the one that did the phone call that made George Takai so famous on the show. The phone call where he pretended to be Ricardo Montleban calling George Takia.

I know Kidd Chris had a show in TX and then Philly I think? Whatever, I never heard his show so I have no idea if it is funny.

However, one of the very few times I tune out the show is when Bob Shimmel is in. I do not think he is funny at all. The story about his wife and the potery guy was good but I can't stand it when Shimmel is on the show.
