Howard talked a bit about Richard's kid, expected around Halloween. MFB called in, but no one was there. Howard is now talking about a dramatic porno he saw. MFB called back in and Fred "played her off."

Jerry Seinfeld is today's guest.

(These pornos Howard watches with these extravagant plotlines...)

Howard did a narrator voice during the first half-hour of the show.

I can't be the only one who was reminded of the impression of Ronnie being creepy.

Excellent Seinfeld. Almost as good as the last time when Jerry, feeling his Long Island kinship with Howard, expressed his admiration for Howard but let it be known that he had Howard's number. And Howard loved it. More of the same this time. Jerry expressed the opinion that that Long Island masculine personality was best personified by him, Howard, Alec Baldwin and Bill O'Reilly. What a group session that would be.

This political caller just made Howard go off the edge. He said Howard was a liberal (which is only partially true) and then when Howard pointed out he was for some conservative things and politicians, the caller played the "that doesn't count toward my argument" card.

Robin didn't know which hurricane hit Houston.

RONNIE CALLED HOPALONG A STAR FUCKER!!!

Oh boy did that hit a nerve with Hollywood Howie. His first response was something like, "Oh yea? Like who?" At this point Ronnie knew he fucked up so he mumbled. I can list them. Off the top of my head: Kimmel, Joel, Aniston, Theroux, CK, Jovi, Seinfeld. Not to mention all the celeb fundraisers he goes to where his picture winds up in the Daily Mail. Howard is a star fucker. He needs to admit it. It's most likely to impress Beth. He asked, "when did I ever hang out with you guys?" Well, I have a good example. A classic Stern Show story is Fred going gay with gay Rich. That happened at Fred's bachelor party. I'll bet 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 dollars there is no way in hell he goes to JD's bachelor party. Richard just had a baby shower...no Howie.

Ronnie was right. Howard doesn't hang with the boys anymore. The simple fact that the comment pissed him off so much tells me that he knows there is a lot of truth to it.

Howard is a celebrity, and one of the most successful entertainers in America. A key component of his job is interviewing celebrities. Why shouldn't he have celebrity friends?

You don't understand the definition of starfucker. It's a nobody who associates themselves with celebrities. That's not Howard.

Or an outside the mainstream famous guy who spent his entire career mercilessly mocking A-listers until around 2010 when he all of a sudden decided to apologize to them and start regularly hanging out with them.

Howard being friends with celebs only bothers me because it's such a departure from the personality I grew up listening to. Yes people can change their minds over the years and that's fine, but if a large pillar of your career is/was built on honesty just admit it. A big part of the show used to be about transparency, that has taken a back seat during these last 2 Sirius contracts.

A key component of his job is interviewing celebrities. Why shouldn't he have celebrity friends?

Here we have a chicken and egg scenario. The serious interviewer Howard we know today started around the same time (right before or during his second Sirius contract) he decided to buddy up to all these A-listers. Which one caused the other?

You can move this to a new thread if you want, but Sarah Silverman was pleasantly confrontational with Howard. She made a really biting comment about how Howard ignores major things happening in the world. "I turn on the show, and I think it's a repeat, because you're not talking about what's happening, and then you mention someone's new movie". Howard replied, "so don't listen to the show".

Just heard him interview Stormy Warren, a SiriusXM radio DJ who hosted the Las Vegas concert. He was onstage when the shooting started. He gave a chilling and emotional account of the event.

Howard did? Huh, that's interesting for him to be involved with someone on the ground of a major news story. Especially after what you posted above this about Sarah calling him out.

I heard that DJ guy on CNN this morning.

He's a SiriusXM DJ (Highway radio I heard), so probably when Robin started the news, someone told Gary that he can talk to Howard. Yes, it's rare.

So Sarah Silverman basically wants Howard to speak out on the numerous Trump issues that he probably disagrees with. Howard kind of lawyered his way out of it but it is a fact that Howard does not like to rant against a friend of the show. He had no problem ranting against George Bush but he just cannot do that to Trump, even though Trump if far worse. Trump is not only against abortion but he is against government support of birth control Abortion used to be a favorite ranting subject. Nothing on the rant level now. \

Howard regularly voices his objections to Trump's policies and actions, and he makes it clear that Trump was always a good guest, but not a personal friend. I understand Sarah's point, that Howard has a uniquely bipartisan audience, but frankly, I don't know what more he's supposed to do.

I fault Howard 100% for the way he acted before the election. He clearly and obviously would not engage in any conversation about politics. The fact that he's made a total 180 in that regard is both disingenuous and hypocritical. But I don't know what Sarah would want him to do at this point.

She wants him diminish to Trump in the eyes of his supporters (who listen to Howard) by doing continual rants on the lunacy of Trump's abortion policy, his dismantlement of Environmental Protection Agency protections, his embrace of the religious right .. just to name a few of Howard's presumed favorites ... same as his diminishment of Bush.

My takes: Joe Buck was good, not great. Seinfeld was great. Silverman is right, and wrong. Howard could take up more political talk but his audience doesn't listen for that. Howard doesn't know the issues well enough to go past a cursory discussion about it. She's nuts saying he doesn't talk about the big issues. Stormy was chilling. Howard has been fucking stars for a while now and it's not Ronnie's business. Ronnie is my favorite person on the show, but these hour long ball bustings on his various improprieties gets old after 20 minutes. It's like comedians bashing trump, it's soooo easy. Shows low show prep or new ideas to me if you're banging ronnie so hard. There ya go, and anyone who doesn't like it can go fuck themselves, I'm scores man dammit, and that's what scores man is all about.

When I hear long Ronnie bashing or Richard bashing or JD hassling, I want speak for them. In Ronnie's case, Howard gets so much mileage from Ronnie's antics yet acts as though Ronnie is ruining his brand. If I were Ronnie, "Howard, a significant part your show content is bashing me and my antics. In all fairness, Howard, you should hand over a million or two to me every year. You will never miss it." I recently heard Howard bashing Richard because he only served wine and beer at a "shower". Richard should have said, "Howard, you fuck, did not even attend. If I want to make it wine and beer only, that's my business. Nothing unusual about not serving hard liquor, something you are too delicate to drink anyhow. And I am still pissed off that you did not attend my fucking wedding!". As for JD, "Howard, you are trying to disrupt my engagement by making me reveal every detail of my relationship on air. I remember how you tried to convince Gary that he wanted a divorce and how you said on-air that you thought Gary was cheating when he was on the road. Let's hear some details from daily life with your wife/nurse!"
