Monday was a holiday, so he'd be off anyway. Friday he doesn't have to work (and you know you're jealous.)

If you look at it another way, his "vacation" was only Tuesday through Thursday. Since the live stuff on 100 ends at noon, technically speaking, his vacation ended at noon on Thursday.
