I have to find an apartment in the next few days. It's such a pain in the butt and I'm so picky about what I want. There are some trade offs I can deal with like bad location in lieu of Parking, In Unit Laundry and new amenities. I've been renting my older brothers condo while he has been living in China and he is coming back and I will be moving out. I've become very accustomed to the large 3 bedroom condo and the fact that is has a nice jacuzzi tub, garage parking and is only about 4 years old. I'm spoiled now. I don't need much space for just me, maybe around 700 sq ft is the minimum and I wouldn't want more than about 1200. In Chicago I've pretty much been checking out Craiglsist and www.housingmaps.com that kinda plots the ads into a google map. Other than that I'm clueless on finding them but it's just me being too picky. I just don't want to spend much on a place especially with the way the economy is. How did you find your place?
