As long as you don't feature Lynn Samuels, it can be anything.

NRA has their own radio program on SIRIUS Patriot called Cam & Company. I've only listened to it a couple of times (so that might be one that I might try out again).

For talk radio, I mostly listen to Howard (and the independent POTUS channel).

Jay Thomas is awesome. I also enjoy radioclassics. I heard Greg Bell on the Sirius side, so that is great newws, because he kicks the shit out of that dumb ass Sirius has.

One of my favorites who does not make financial advice boring.

The Dave Ramsey Show
Weekdays 9 pm - Midnight ET SIRIUS 161
Dave Ramsey offers life-changing financial advice as host of this radio talk show focusing on life, love, and relationships, and how they happen to revolve around money. Talk to other Dave Ramsey Fans about life and money!

XM165: 3pm to 7pm est. (Monday-Friday)

XM158: 11pm to 1am est. (Monday-Friday)

Dave Ramsey should be good. Plus it's live on XM as opposed to being tape delayed on Sirius...:right:

Since I panned the last few, I thought I'd make a suggestion. Since we already did Covino and Rich, and we are trying to stay away from politics, the only other shows I listen to is Sirius Speedway (I know it's NASCAR, but they are entertaining), Car Talk, and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. I will be looking forward to the future Talk The Dog choices.

I've actually been thinking I might go ahead and let politics into the mix soon if there's significant demand for it. I just hope it doesn't become a flame war :p

The Stephanie Miller show.
Weekdays on Sirius 146 at 7pm Central Time. For whatever reason, Sirius stopped playing the entire 3 hours and only plat an hour of the daily show.
She is smart, sexy, and funny; a rare tri-fecta for female hosts. Give her a listen. Funny stuff.

Personally, I like NPR's Marketplace a lot... But, my interest in TTD is to discover new shows.

So, my suggestion would be to do something similar to WTD; try to walk every talk show out there, in the hope that it will allow some TTD followers to discover new shows they didn't know about.

Now, it is unrealistic to do this with every talk show on Sirius/XM, sat/online, usa/cdn. So, I would try, as much as possible, to limit shows to those available to both Sirius and XM USA satellite subscribers (without BestOf).

We could rule out some categories of shows, or, alternately, determine three or four broad categories (e.g. religion, sports, adult, other) and publish TTD threads in all these categories at once. This would allow people not interested in some category to still have something to listen to.

Well, my first installment of Talk the Dog is almost complete. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that we have more people weigh in.

I am still looking for suggestions, I want to know what everyone thinks we should be listening to. Maybe it's time to open up the can of worms and go political.

Anyway, hopefully the next choice will be out Sunday. Let me know what you want to see.

How about Me & Vinnie?

It's on live @ 6am-9am EST on SXM Stars Too Sirius 108/XM 139 with replays at 9am-noon and at night (forgot which PM times.)

Basically, it's your normal watercooler-talk morning show. If you've ever listened to Good Morning America Radio on regular Stars, it's similar to that, but fewer listener calls, a higher quality production value (GMA Radio sounds VERY tacky with all their GMA TV recycled clips), & they don't beat a dead horse with a stick for 30 minutes :). Personally, I like it because it's a nice blend of the top headlines of the day, interesting guests, and funny banters. I listen to it every morning when I wake up & get ready for work...and then listen to it while I'm stuck in traffic.

All right, time for the next installment of TTD. This week (or two), we are stepping away from politics and to some hopefully interesting and entertaining shows. The featured shows aaaarrrreee: (drum roll please) Vinne and Me and Emergency Room Medicine. Please check out their individual threads for full details. And as always, keep the suggestions coming, I have a running list going of what everyone wants to hear, and thanks macfanatic for this weeks' suggestion.

Monty Python Channel

Sirius is creating this channel for 10 days (Sirius 105/XM ???). I suggest to showcase it on TTD for the few days it has left.
