Hi folks! Now that we've run a few TTD segments with varying success I'd like to get some feedback...

Recently I've seen a lack of participation, is this because of the show selection or is nobody really interested in TTD?

Should I continue it?

Why not space them out? Maybe one every two weeks? Or once a month?...

I know I'm stuck in listening to very few shows, so it's hard for me to listen to new shows. I have to pry myself from the regulars to listen to something new...

:)

I second that. I had thought the original idea was to space them out. I think we need more time to listen and give a true opinion, since I would think you need at least a few shows to get an idea. In the meantime, I will try and catch up.

Please continue. I just discovered TTD. You should ask modarators, though, to make a sticky TTD thread, much like the WTD thread, so that people that casually browse the talk threads notice it. I had simply not noticed it.

I agree with others that you should give each entry at least two weeks, so that people have time to record the show and listen to it.

I've also hated the selection of shows thus far:thumbsdown:

I've already mentioned this possibility to the mods/admins so it's in their hands at this point. I suspect they are waiting to see how successful it is first. If you support this idea, I'd suggest letting them know your concerns.

There is a show suggestion thread that's become a little buried over time. If you have a particular show you're interested in reviewing, let me know by posting it in there. I do read the thread regularly.

Would be nice to have a new TTD show to discover, isn't it? :p

It seems that we still need someone to tell us what talk shows to listen to. It seems HC has alot on his plate right now. I don't want to would be step on toes, but I wonder if we need someone else to take over. I would be willing to take it on if that works with all of ya'll, I would like to see TTD to continue.......

Take two

Well, I have not heard of anyone objecting to my continuing TTD, so I'm going to go ahead. The main thing I think we need to make this successful is SUGGESTIONS!!! There is still the suggestions thread, and unless I hear what you want, it'll be mostly Sirius Patriot and NASCAR :p . I am a SIrius subscriber w/ Best of XM, just to give you an idea of the base of where I will be picking from.

I will probably put out a new channel every two weeks, but voting will always be open in case you fall behind or want to take your time. I think this works if you give these shows an honest listen before chiming in.

I will try to balance political shows by featuring two in one shot, et. al. Hannity and Colmes in the same two weeks. And there is a whole thread on DRC for political debate (Political Mumbo Jumbo), so no flame wars please.

Anyway, tune in to Part 7 of Talk The Dog- The Judith Regan Show, Coming really soon!

New Talk the Dog just out of the starting gate, and it's a two-fer! Cam and Company as well as Stephanie Miller (both were suggestions). I just wanted to remind all that debate on the political issues themselves can be done on the Political Mumbo Jumbo Section of DRC, I want ratings on the shows themselves. Happy Listening!

Hmmm.... American politics... OK. We'll see. It'll make for a little exception in my listening habits. I guess that's the point of TTD, right?

You mean American Politics isn't the center of international news? ;) :p I decided to open the political can of worms, I still kind of waiting to see if people start chiming in this week, if that's the case maybe we can have another one for next week, What are your suggestions for shows or what can be done to improve Talk The Dog?
