Ok, so it goes like this.
My wife got me a new SL2 for Christmas because my old one would no longer charge in the car or the soloist and would only charge in my boombox. Anyway, I'm eternally gratefull for her purchase because it got to be a real pain to bring it in every night and day and put it just right in the boombox so it would charge up and then be useable for a few hours the next day.
I unwrapped this gift on Christmas Eve night (we exchange then, after the kids are in bed and their santa stuff is out) and thanked her profusely. But it started eating at me, telling her that she spent too much but then I remembered the CAPTAINS pledge to give $100 to anyone that spent the most from TSS. I asked her if she got it from TSS and she said no, BEST BUY and then I told her that she should have got it from TSS and not Best Buy and she said it was really a last minute thing and nobody would have shipped it in time. I told her TSS had really fast shipping and they would have gotten it out--anyway, it turned into a long commercial for TSS from me to her, explaining how they rock and yada yada yada. Then, very matter of factly I told her that she might have been eligible for a $100 rebate from Captain farker too. She looked at me like I was nuts so then I had to explain, on Christmas Eve night to my wife that there exists a person named Captain Badmother Farker that was giving $100 away for TSS radio purchases. She asked if he worked for TSS and I told her no, I think he is some sort of government scientist but it isn't really clear and that he prefers hispanic and asian midgets.
It got really confusing and it just ended with her shaking her head, confused as to the world I live in.
Really funny actually. I am excited about my new Sl2. so nice to have a radio that works again.
