I have recently acquired a Tivo HD. I have been looking at picking up one of those Tivo Glo Remotes.

But I was wondering if anyone out in Satellite Radio land might have one of these remotes and could perhaps take a picture of how good the backlight on the remote is in the dark. Or perhaps if you have a link to the photos because I have been unable to find any using the following google search.

I have one and it sucks...the remote, that is. The backlight is light sensitive so unless your romm is pitch black and I mean PITCH BLACK, the backlight won't come on. We have a 42" LCD in our bedroom where the TiVo is installed and the large screen throws so much bright light that the remote backlight rarely, if ever, comes on.

Harmony remotes are all I'll use now. They recharge in a cradle, backlit, color display, and they know what you're doing and reconfigure to suit your needs. You program them by hooking them up to your computer and downloading info about your setup and activities. At first I thought they were too expensive, but now I've got two of the 880s.

Thanks for the Info. I have a Harmony 550 that just doesn't work well with a few of my devices. It controls my fans which is nice but missing a good deal of the functionality for my Blu Ray player. Also the menu system is a bit annoying to navigate.

Thanks MrPacs for the Info on the Tivo GLO.

I've got 2 880s, and they can learn any IR commands, and you can reprogram any button on them to send any commands you want. How can a 550 not work with your devices?

And what "menu system"?
