Thinking about a new phone

Canada, eh?
My sister had the original Galaxy Note but it drowned a couple of months after getting it so she has been using my old BlackBerry Torch 9800 but it is starting to die. Due to a "bank error" in my favour I am thinking of getting a new phone for myself and giving her my current phone.

Rogers says my upgrade fee on the iPhone 5 I got 16 months ago is $28, when all the other lines are over $300. I'm thinking either the LG G2 or Samsung Galaxy Mega which has a bigger screen than the Note 3. Anybody have experience with either of them?

Before someone suggests the Note 3, it is $300 on a new contract and the Mega is $0.

I am partial to the Nexus line and love my Nexus 5. I'd love to branch out but I like the stock Android OS too much to branch out.

Why not get the Note 3? LOL I am kidding!!! hehehe

Given the choices you gave I'd go with the LG G2 without question. Knock Knock!

I sold my iPhone 5 and got the GN3. Best move I ever made. That LG is damn sweet.

Well the rain delay at the Daytona 500 meant i had some free time this afternoon. So I went out and picked up the LG G2 and a wireless home phone kit for a total expenditure of about $145.

SWEET! Now you'll have to use it for awhile and then come back to give us a full run down. I looked hard at the LG G2, but when I got my Galaxy Note no one actually had them in stock yet.

You got a heck of a deal!

The upgrade fee on my phone should have been close to $300 but I ended up paying $40 and $49.99 for the phone plus taxes on a 2 yr term. $10 for a new SIM card for the iPhone and $29.99 for the wireless home phone device.

So far, I'd give the G2 an 8 out of 10. Love the bigger screen. Not a big learning curve since I already have a phone with an older version of Android. My biggest pet peeve is the alarm clock app. The alarm only rings for a minute or so then shuts down for 5 minutes.

I actually slept through the alarm and was an hour late to work this morning.

So my idiot sister has promptly lost the iPhone or someone stole it. So this is 3 phones she has ruined in about 20 months
