As much as I LOVE Football, I just can't get into any of these leagues that are not the NFL or NCAA.

I remember back in the day when New Orleans had the Breakers...

The Denver Gold. Had pretty cool uniforms, and had former Broncos coaches and players on the coaching staff. Beyond that not really famous for anything but sucking.

The Ohio Glory baby! It only existed one year (1992). I went to a game and actually enjoyed it. I could never watch it on TV though. We went 1-9.

Ohio Glory - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think I actually may have an Ohio Glory sticker somewhere.

There's this league as well as the league that aims to have college graduates playing in college cities. I can't remember it's name, but it's a spring league which has been delayed several times.

That would be the AAFL - All American Football League.

Actually Denver was 9-9 in their second season. That isn't great but it doesn't quite suck. They made the playoffs and then they sucked. :Smiley_wink:

I did get to ride with one of the cheerleaders to our seats at the old Mile High Stadium for a game against the Chicago Blitz. :D

I dont' understand why people think we need another football league. THE NFL is just about as perfect as it can get. Sure, they don't really allow celebrations, some penalties are a bit stupid but come on, the NFL really can't be beat from a TALENT standpoint.

Plus, the way the season culminates with the playoffs and then the grand finale of the Super Bowl really prevents me from watching any other football. I just don't want to watch it in the spring. Spring is for Baseball.

What we need is a college football playoff system like they have in 1AA, 2A, and 3A. Then there would be no need for another professional football league...
