It was an exiting premiere episode with a crying Kanye, Oprah, Seinfeld, a guy singing at a car wash, and so much more...

Actually, I thought it was pretty strong because everybody but Leno carried it. The opening monologue was atrociously unfunny, and Jay's best moment was the interview with Kanye. The rest was just Jay being Jay, take it or leave it. I'll personally leave it after premiere week and keep kissing the comedic feet of Conan.

Overall, I give it a 4/5 for the premiere episode.

Thoughts? Do you like Jay? Will you watch? Is Kanye a sympathetic douchebag because he still loves his mother, or just a douchebag?

I watched out of curiousity more than anything. Jay is a good guy, but I gave up watching him many moons ago. It doesn't make sense to me that he would give up the coveted Tonight Show slot, then essentially do the same exact kind of show, but at an earlier time. Why get back into the 5 days a week grind?

Kayne said alot of the right things, but I'm sure he'll revert back to his usual self.

Howard Stern invented Jay Leno and tv and airwaves.

I chose to watch all of the great sporting events that were on last night:

1. Us OPEN (over at 8.30)
2. PATS vs. BILL---great game
3. Oakland vs. SD--great game

At 10.15 my wife said rather sarcastically "gee, you don't want to put on the new Leno Show?"

I flipped over from Monday Night Football to see the Jerry Seinfeld segment. That whole Oprah bit was lame.

Jerry Seinfeld - Larry David = boring

After the Giants/Rockies game was finished I switched over and watched about ten minutes of Leno. I saw his take on the Cheaters show. It was awful. It appeared to me that most of the effort behind this show went into the promos hyping it and to the long-ass stage and set.

I give it one chin out of five.

Even with Monday Night Football, the show got 18 MILLION VIEWERS!

Of course since the word of mouth was REALLY bad for the premiere, I say it gets 11 million tonight, before settling at 7 million.

Ya, it wasn't really a tough choice last night between Jay Leno and MNF. I think tonight I'll watch Adult Swim instead, or play Madden NFL 10.

OK, so he follows up Seinfeld with Michael 'Still a Fat Ass' Moore, and has him sing? :banghead::shoot4:

By the way, Jim Norton was awful!
