If I link a website in this forum, does that forum know it's linked from this site?

Ok, for sake of argument, this site is "A". Linked site is "B".

I link "B" on site "A". Does site "B" know that there is a link for site "B" on site "A"?

Yes. If a site links here, we pretty much can see it. When admin or mods are logged in if a thread got linked you can see the linkbacks at the bottom. Meaning the sites that link to that thread.
