I am sure that Dallas fans are happy that they managed to get rid of that cancer.

As a Giants fan, I am a little bummed. The traveling T.O. circus was an amusing distraction for me, and it managed to keep the Cowboy player's minds off of football.

You are kidding right? Do you really think that Philly would have him back? There is no chance in hell!!

I, being an Eagles' fan, am not sure how I feel about this. He has had about 1/2 of their receiving production since he got there so that is a HUGE chunk gone. However, it may give the Cowboys a chance to get more balance. I could see this helping or hurting them. I am hoping that it will hurt them.

As a longtime Cowboys fan and being born and raised in Dallas I am happy to see TO go, even though Biaviian is totally right. He was a huge chunk of the receiving production for the Cowboys. Hopefully this will open up the floodgates to bring on more dedicated players and more diverse talent. And hopefully that will result in something that could hurt the Eagles. ;)

Plus I am tired of Jerry Jones trying to act like he and the Cowboys are an NFL rehabilitation center. (see Pac Man) It's time to bring on some hungry young guys that are ready to be part of a team and not a solo star.

Oh, and maybe it would be smart this time around to not do an HBO special!

T.O. is 35 years old, his production is going down, and he's just not the same dominant receiver he once was. His antics aren't worth the headache anymore, and kudos to Dallas/Jerry Jones for realizing this. I'm a little shocked, because it seems like attention - whether good or bad - is more important to Jerry Jones than winning. Even though they have to absorb a 9 million dollar cap hit, this was a good move by Dallas.

They also released long-time Cowboy Roy Williams today.

My favorite piece of T.O. history...

As a person residing in the Bay Area, I was able to marvel at his talent for a long time. There was actually a time when the 49ers had both Rice and Owens. But Terrell's penchant for pissing off the other team with his stupid, egotistical attention grabs started to weigh heavily on the team. By the time he started implying negative stuff towards Jeff Garcia, his ticket out of town was complete.

While he was in Philly and the fans loved him, I knew it was only a matter of time...and yes, it was only a matter of time.

While he was in Dallas and the fans loved him, I knew it was only a matter of time...and yes, it was only a matter of time.

He's a distraction. His abilities will be less and less each year from here on out. He will land on his feet, he will accumulate great stats, but in the end he will be another distraction for another organization until he is kicked to the curb.

I know one thing...there is now currently an NFL organization that will have to stock up on the kleenex tissues because T.O. is coming to town.

Yeah. Maybe the Cowboys will get closer to being a team.

T.O. still has good hands. As long as it's not a crucial 3rd down and short.

But it was embarassing to watch him catch an inside slant and try to juke the defender. The body just won't make the move anymore.

Hope somebody's keeping an eye on him right now. He's not very good at reading the directions on medicine bottles.

I read this on yahoo.com

The teams that don't want Terrell Owens - Shutdown Corner - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

ProFootballTalk.com, though, is keeping a list of teams that have made it known to them through "league sources" that they have no interest in Owens. As of right now, that list includes:

Dallas Cowboys
New York Giants
Washington Redskins.
Baltimore Ravens
San Francisco 49ers
Minnesota Vikings
Atlanta Falcons
Cleveland Browns
San Diego Chargers
Philadelphia Eagles
New York Jets
Tennessee Titans
St. Louis Rams

And the Dolphins are listed as teams that are expected to join the list soon.

They just posted the teams that are not interested in T.O. and they include every team in the NFC and every team in the AFC except Oakland and Tennessee.

I say Oakland.

One team NOT on the list is the Denver Broncos. My Broncos fandom is hanging by a thread as it is, but it would be OVER if they sign T.O.

bring him to Cincy, can you imagine the show between T.O. and Ocho Cinco

Yes, talk about a match made in Hell...

Speaking of which, I've heard New England has entered their name in the T.O. sweepstakes. How about a Randy Moss/Terrell Owens combo? Tom Brady may be the best QB in the NFL, but I doubt even he would be able to keep both of those megalomaniacs happy.

Two other teams I read about...Oakland, which makes sense of course because, well, it's the Raiders. And also Tennessee. Understandable, considering they have no legit threat at wide receiver.
