I guess they'll save a few bucks compared to Giambi's old deal...you know it's going to Sabathia

Sabathia wants to HIT!!! I expect him to sign with an NL club.

He is a great weapon to have concerning his bat. When he pitches in the NL, it is like having a DH. When he is not pitching, the manager has an extra bat on the bench.

I hate to admit to this, but I can't help but see a slight connection taking place with Sabathia going to the Yankees. The old Yankee Stadium was the "house that Ruth built", Ruth a big bellied pitcher that could really hit the ball. Now we have the new Yankee Stadium and lurking out in the free agent market is a big bellied pitcher that can really hit the ball.

I don't know if I can handle having the Yankees exert another era of dominance. Not in my lifetime. I hope that if Sabathia has to go to a major sports market with a huge payroll is that it ends up being Anaheim or Atlanta.
