I apologize if this is not the right area for this question. MODS, feel free to place it in the right one.

I renewed my annual sub for my Sportster Replay and activated my SL2 on Christmas of 2007 at the cost of $105.00. I just pulled up my account for both radios and it says make a payment for $242.00.:mad::mad:

My question is. How in the hell can it increase that much? Almost a $140.00 increase!!!:eek: Surely the merger doesn't cost that much.:idunno:

I guess I'll call the wonderful Sirius customer service afterwhile and find out.

Anyway Merry Christmas DRC gang, hope everyone has a good Holiday.

The Sportster would be $12.95 * 11 (annual subs get one free month) = $142.45
The SL2 would be $6.95 * 12 = $83.40
Activation of the SL2 would be $15

Total = $240.85 + tax (if applicable)

If you did this last Christmas and were renewing both radios this year, I'd expect the total to be $225.85 + tax (if applicable) since you don't need to pay the activation again. The $105 seems a bit low, but that might be about right for the activation and pre-pay of the SL2 if you have to pay tax ($83.40 + $15 + tax ~= $105)

Was customer service able to clear/fix it up for you? I always dread talking to them...

You were pretty much dead nuts on. I guess the taxes were higher. From what I could understand by talking to the CS rep they didn't charge me for one of my radios last year. I thought that was odd and I kept my mouth shut so that they wouldn't go back and hit me with another charge.
