Will SIRIUS ever update the channel logos/names for the SL100's?? I know, they might be waiting 'til the channel merger, but I'm still without a logo on legacy channels (thanks to a recent channel update!), like SIRIUS Gold, SIRIUS 12, 29 - AC/DC Radio, Grateful Dead, etc. etc.

SIRIUS can't update logos via satellite, can they?

My guess is that they will wait until 11-5. But who really knows. Look how long it took us to get Lithium and others.

I wouldn't hold your breath, but SiriusXM could surprise us.

I hope DoublEE doesn't see this thread. ;)

Don't hold your breathe, be easier to wait if there is a Stiletto 3 or some kind of interchange radio like the Stiletto coming out next year?

I hope DoublEE doesn't see this thread. ;)

Isn't there an option for a mod to block users like DoublEE for being able to view this thread? j/k DoublEE!

No, they probably never will. Channel updates come and go and they never have apparently. I hope this trend stops when the music programming is (possibly) the same on both radios or I'm gonna be mad..cause XM did a GREAT job at doing this.

Yeah, that's the one thing I like about my Inno...channel logos updated via satellite. Once the music merger completes, I'm disconnecting my Inno in favor of my Stiletto, but the missing logos is a (minor) annoyance. I can get over it, though.

PROS of STILETTO over INNO:
- Wi-Fi online listening
- ability to rewind/pause
- I have a Stiletto boombox

With identical music lineups, I really have no reason to have both (don't care about baseball..I can listen to the game on terrestrial radio; I have the "Best of XM" for Badgers football, NBA, NHL and O&A).

Well if they do it will be awhile. If they are fixing to make all these channels changes, I guess the channels that go with from XM's side will need new logos.

This is the one good thing I've always like about XM's side in their support of the Inno and other XM2Go tuners, along with the ExpressRC. Soon as a channel changes the graphics change too. Recently when they added the Best of Sirius those channels came online with new graphics.

I'd be shocked if they ever got them all fixed. Look at it this way, the SL100 is not a new unit and they've updated it probably 10 times and they never fixed all of them. It's pretty obvious that they aren't too concerned about them.

On a side note, I just got my wife an SL2 and damn that thing is nice. It makes my SL100 look like a starter set.

It will be interesting to see if that continues. They have probably fired all the guys who made such smooth operations possible. XM support may start acting like the Sirius support we have come to 'love' going forward.

Hey, both of you suck! I haven't gone a logo/channel rant in probably over a year. I should start up again just as paybacks.

I really doubt they will for the SL100. I say this based on Sirius track record.

Does the Stiletto 2 get logos via satellite, or software updates?

It gets updates from software updates, but in wifi mode it can also do channel logo updates. But you can only see those logos in the wifi mode.

So, no chance of a "firmware" update of channel logos following the channel merger, huh? If not, damn...they're REALLY gonna screw up the logos next month.

I suspect they will do a firmware upgrade after the channel merge but not before. Probably wasn't a point of doing it twice.

I wouldn't anticipate a firmware upgrade BEFORE the channel changes. I've emailed Jon Zellner about this, and he's responded saying that he's forwarding my email to Gary Schoenwetter and the engineering staff on SIRIUS' side. We'll see...

Yeah, but how long after the channel updates? If their past is any indication it will be months. I sure wish that the Stiletto line was able to be updated on the fly like the XpressRC, XMp3, Inno and Helix.

A perfect example of this is the Stiletto the Sirius Screem Channel 113 just has a Sirius Logo and the same background. On all the XM tuners mentioned above The Gore Channel 134 has a cool The Gore Logo and Bloody Background. Which was uploaded almost immediately when the channel was made available.
