Since the internet quality on the Stiletto 2 is really poor, if I upgrade my internet radio access, does it also upgrade it for the Stiletto 2 or is that strictly for computers only. If so that's such a fail.

This will also give you the Premium Internet on the SL2 as well. Just make sure your tuner ID is correct when they do the Premium Service. Probably the easiest way to add it is to do it online so you know you do the right radio if you have more than one on your account.

The 128kb feed vs the 32kb feed is huge! You'll like it!

Okay. The extra 3 bucks/mo is totally worth indoor use. This means I don't need to get the home kit, unless i decide to listen to certain news/sports channels that they don't have over the internet.

I'll still have to get a car kit I guess. The signal is pretty low outside even though without the antenna headphones...im really trying to avoid those things.

You completely can't keep the radio in your pocket which really sucks. I hope it doesn't take years for satellite radio to improve.

update: they dont have radio disney via internet !!!! DANG. jk noone cares

I would completely recommend getting the home kit. Nothing sounds better then an SL2 with Premium Internet connected to a home a/v system! Also, with the SL2 you can get great deals on the docks over at TSS-Radio.

Well, maybe having your home dock connected to an outside antenna and a A/V system. :D

The upgrade to premium internet is probably the greatest thing going with the SL2.

I listen over WIFI almost as much as I listen over satellite and the premium internet sounds better. Best $3 you could spend if you are a heavy Sirius Internet user.

Premium internet definitely sounds better than the live satt feed. It's completely worth it.

On a related note to this. To actually active the service on the SL2, should it be powered up in satellite mode, wifi mode, or is the feed determined by their streaming servers with no need to update the stiletto itself?

I've been meaning to do this for awhile now, but just haven't gotten around to it. The less monkeying around and calls to customer service to get it activated the better :)

Your second assumption is correct. The radio does not need to be turned on when you upgrade your internet radio - it's all done on the server side. The first time you use Internet Radio on your SL2 you will see on the bottom of the screen the words Premium Internet and will definitely notice the difference in sound quality! But obviously it does not need to be powered on or connected to WiFi when you make the upgrade.

Also, the easiest way to upgrade to Premium Internet is to simply log in to your My Account page, click your username for internet radio (under your ESN) and select Upgrade. Simple :D
