I haven't heard of any "mods" for the FM transmitter on the SL2, but you can use a wired FM direct adapter.

FM Direct Adapter (Wired Relay)

It's a little adapter that plugs your Sirius radio directly into the FM antenna (instead of broadcasting the signal to the antenna). Only $20 on TSS-Radio.

I do and I still get hiss in the background .The transmitter must be 0000001 th of a watt.
Wish I could figure how to get my chevy express dash apart I have a new radio with AUX in and dvd audio just waiting .(a tad overkill for a work truck)
Guess the next steo is take the sl2 apart and find where the output is and add a broadband amp!

Delco

I had the same problem with the reception on the SL2 dock. I ended up getting and installing the direct connection adapter. A little spendy, but well worth it.

The wonderful DELCO radio dont have that option .Its FM/AM radio only .They do have a BIG RADIO though, ill give em that. With all that surface mount electronics its STILL BIG!
not like the old Honda radios that were DIN sized, still dont know why car manufacturers insist on putting in odd size radios, either way I rip em out of my personal vehicles. My nissan had the BOSE system, the friggin delco was louder with two speakers.
If you dont like highs or lows ,you better get Bose.
My nissan has a Kenwood DVD and 2000 watts of power,MB quarts, music keg and sirius directly into the headunit.
