I can't speak for the other two radios, but I'm very happy with my recent purchase of a Starmate 5.

I saw the XM XPRESS RC today. That is a damn nice looking radio! Far better display than on the Sportster 5.

Yes unless you are just partial to Sirius that is what I'd get. I love my XpressRC. Heck I got rid of an Inno for this baby. Beautiful display, preset buttons, replay feature, automatica updating wallpaper and channel icons and you can save up to 10 songs for anytime playback in the memory! It's a great setup!

But out of the ones you intitially mentioned I'd go the Starmate 5.

I was shocked at the display on that XM unit. It made the sportster 5 look pathetic.

NPR talk and Now are generally very similar. Glad to see it's on XM, will make my choice easier. As long as I have NPR, 100/101 and a few political talk channels, I'm happy.

I am of the opinon that American Right and America Left on XM are better than the left and right channels on Sirius. Plus you also have Air America on XM.

For me going with XM over Sirius was a no brainer not only programming wise, but because I could get the Best of Sirius and the XpressRC ;)

Yea, I'm looking at XM with best of Sirius and it's only $175/year. I think I was paying $160 for Sirius. Given that and the absolute awesomeness that is the XPRESS RC, I think that's what I'm going to get. The XPRESS is pretty much the same price as the Sportster 5 and looks a hell of a lot better.

Sounds like a plan, I am telling you that you will love that XpressRC. It is by far the best PNP tuner I've ever owned. I also love when I hear a really cool song I like that I can save it to one of the bank of 10 songs for replay later. But the display is great in bright daylight or at night due to the auto dim feature. I have just never found anything about it not to like. Hell on your night stand at night you can set the display to turn off and also use the sleep mode to shut off after an hour.

I am sure you can tell from my post how much I love it! I think you will too!

You might want to wait a month... Isn't that when the new line of SiriusXM dual-chip radios come out? Might as well get the latest and greatest, but that's just me...
