I just picked up a Sportster 4 on eBay, 34 bucks, radio and car kit included, everything needed to use in car, brand new basically. It was a store return, the buttons on the radio don't work, but the dial does. The remote apperently works though. Was this a good buy? I don't NEED a radio for a car, but I thought it'd be nice to pick up for cheap to maybe fix or give to a friend for a nice gift with a few months free on it.

Anyone else think this was a somewhat decent impulse buy?

Sounds like a good buy to me.

Does the dock have the Aux-In?

Antennas are $25 new, I think you got a deal.

From what I can tell, the dock just has audio out and fm out, no Aux in.

But yeah, just for the antennea and dock alone, this seemed like a steal. Looking forward to playing around with it. I havent had any newer radios than a starmate replay. Other than my stiletto 10

Just got it today, it's the newest PnP I got, and I must say, it's nice. I forgot how slugging changing channels is on the Stiletto. With the SP4, everything moves snappier, and the channel info seems to load much quicker. Within 30 seconds, almost all the info was loaded for all the channels. Cool. I plugged it in inside my house and just swapped all my SL10's cables to the SP4 car dock to test it all. Everything works except the front buttons (But the power and jump to button DID work on the radio), and the lights for the buttons/knob don't come on. But the display is fine.

It even has a currently working sub on it. I am gifting this radio to a co-worker of mine tomorrow, and installing it in her car. Hopefully it will get someone hooked. It came with everything needed. The cassette adapter and antennea are branded "XM" though, which is strange. makes me wonder about whoever returned this item to the store. It was a factory return apperently. the FM antennea adapter is Sirius branded, though.
