First off, I'm not a racist. I am, however, an equal-opportunity pisser-offer.

A few days ago, a tanker exploded under a newly-reopened overpass on I-75 near Detroit. What happened was that this idiot, a PhD student from Iran drove 20 miles over the speed limit and crashed his vehicle into the tanker, causing it to explode and the newly-rebuilt overpass to collapse.

The cost of the overpass? $2 million. The student's response to the destruction? "I didn't make a mistake".

Maybe he should use his big doctor money to please taxpayers.

CLAWSON, Mich. (WJBK) - FOX 2 spoke with the driver accused of causing Wednesday night's fiery crash. His name is Saied Haidrian-Shari.

He was born in Iran, but currently lives in Clawson and is a PhD student at Wayne State University.

Police say he was going at least 20 miles over the speed limit last night on I-75 at Nine Mile Road. They say he lost control on the curve, hitting the tanker and causing the crash.

Although he is 27 years old, he just got his driver's license back in May.

It is unclear whether Haidrian-Shari will face charges.

Haidarian-Shahri told us he doesn't think he made a mistake. Use the video player on the left to watch as FOX 2's Brad Edwards caught up with him outside his condominium in Clawson.

If he didn't make a mistake then he tried to do it. If that is the case then it should be considered a terrorist act.

Does he have the right to vote under Motor-Voter?

I bet his twitter pic was green for support for Iran :)

Not sure what kind of Doctor he is or wants to be but yeah sounds like good grounds to deport him and please if he is a medical Doctor revoke that right. He has no respect for human life if this was done on purpose.

I drive that stretch of 75 every so often. EVERYBODY drives 20 over in Detroit, but yes, you're right, he should have some level of responsibility since he caused the wreck. And damn, what an explosion it was!

He'll get cited whether he believes he is guilty of wrongdoing.

I bet his insurance will be pissed off (any maybe claim deniability to pay), 'cause guess we gets to pay for that catastrophe.
