So The Ipod WASN'T A Good Reason For The Merger?

Wasn't the discussion about satrad's superiority over the Ipod a little hypocritical? The Ipod was the number-one reason the show gave for justifying the merger, and was offered as sufficient protection against the creation of a monopoly. Now they think the only reason to have an Ipod is when satrad isn't available? So which is it?

That conversation came hot on the heels of Howard angling the carrot to terrestrial radio about a "compelling" person that could change everything in radio...if that compelling person were interested. Howard stumbled on his intimation of knowing that some key salaries were going to be trimmed in order to make way for more music programming. The caller that initiated the conversation mentioned Leykis' salary, but Howard was implying it was Adam's salary, though he quickly corrected himself and said he wasn't sure if it was Adam's salary.

Wow...KLSX is going under because of Adam Carolla's contract? Who knew...Adam just said today that the entire staff was hired on for another year. Not bad for a guy that Fred considers not to be a "radio guy".

It would be nice if that was happening, you know, on satrad, where music is one of the big draws. But Mel knows best.
