Ouch. Sporting News Radio hurts itself more by purging. In place of these shows at the moment are replays of Tim Brando and Todd Wright (yes, a nighttime show replayed in morning drive). I guess Sirius dedicating an entire channel to the network a few months ago didn't ease the pain over there.

Maybe ESPN Radio can get Arnie Spanier to replace that blowhard Cowherd.

Wow didn't realize this sucks for sports radio. Mad Dog rules though. Also if anyone they should have fired there over night guy after Todd he is boring and annoying.

David Stein? I like his show in a weird way. Overnight talk shows of any type usually have a different feel to them. They usually feel more intimate and the host and callers typically develop an on-air relationship. Listen to Joey Reynolds on WOR New York, Jon Grayson on KMOX/WCCO/KDKA, or Steve Leveille on WBZ Boston and you'll see what I mean.

Same reason I like Bob Valvano on ESPN Radio Weekend late nights.

BTW, tonight(May 27) Arnie Spanier is filling in for Tony Bruno on Into The Night; I was listening to Tony B. last night and he mentioned that he was going to an awards banquet and that Arnie was filling in. So I guess all the Arnie Spanier fans can get their fix of him, because who knows when he'll be on again.
