Slacker's New 'Modern Jazz' channel

For fans of XM 72 Beyond Jazz, Slacker has recently launched Modern Jazz. Give it a listen and tell us what you think. We'll have a forum for this station soon.

All the request in the Request a Station on the Slacker forum, I don't see any request for this one from anyone.

I think there are many other genres that need some attention much worse than this genre. I am personally disappointed that they would spend time on this when there are so many other areas that they need to work on.

There were a number of 'Beyond Jazz' type stations in the Share your stations forum. I have listened to it and it's fantastic, reminds me of the old days of Beyond Jazz. :yesshake:

It also would do more to get people to the Slacker service since neither XM nor Sirius has a channel like this.

Well from that perspective I guess it makes sense! I have nothing against Jazz, but just feel like with so many other request and missing pieces to the genre puzzle that it was odd that they would go with this one.

I am sure we'll see many others as they move forward!
