Ok... so since the programing merger and channel update, I cannot seem to "love" songs anymore with my SL2!!!

When I press the "Love" button it brings up the "recording options" screen, which is certainly NOT the same function as giving a song some love...

Is anyone else having these issues?

Can anyone currently love a song?

I can't answer this because since the merger I haven't heard a good song.

Just kidding, Octane is better but they ruined Lithium.

I'll have to try to love a song. I will be PISSED if we can't love songs but nothing at this point would surprise me.

I have tried rebooting. I have pulled the battery and waited for a few mins and booted back up. No love remains. I don't want to have to perform the device recovery only to find out that the issue continues...

I want to know if anyone else can love a song?

Maybe no more lovin' was one of the stipulations in finally approving the merger?

If this really is an issue and sirius isn't going to get fixed in a timely manner, then I will be PISSED too!!! As far as I'm concerned, sirius is going to get an ear full and their bankrupt a**es can buy back my SL2 and accessories! They aren't going to disable one of the main advertised features of one of my radios without taking it in the wallet!!!

This is a technical problem and you guys need to make sure you notify support about this don't just complain here.

It should be addressed, but the big question is when, because as you all know Sirius doesn't get in a big hurry addressing issues. How many SL100, SL2 or S50 owners have the new channel line up with channel icons, wallpapers and in the case of the SL100 and SL2 have the wifi channel listed correctly and working as they should? Raise your hand!

Now you guys know why I canceled my SIRIUS sub and went with XM via my XpressRC, which within one hour of the channel changes updated the channel icons and wallpapers for those new channels and changes. I am fearful of what will happen on the XM side though, my only hope is that XM technology is just so far superior that they will continue to be able to take care of the XM Radios as they have. The first real test will be the XMp3 Portable.

i called customer service last night and after 30 minutes it was determined that the love button will only work on original sirius channels. any channels new to sirius or that merged with XM, it won't work.

it was explained to me that its a software issue on sirius' end and that they know of the problem and are working on a resolution.

i have a s50 though, BTW

Somewhat true, I listen to Octane most of the time. So for the fun of it today, I notice when I heard a song that I usually hear on Sirius Octane. I am still able to record it, but a new song I never heard on the new SiriusXM Octane, I am unable to record the song. So possible when a new song never heard before or when they repeat it, it not recordable and it possible coming from the XM side? But the Sirius side, I able to record the songs because they usually played it alot before the merge of the channels.

I have an SL100 and like DAB said, I'm going to let them know. Mine is working (and frankly I've taped a lot of songs) but it isn't working all the time. Sometimes when I hit it I get the message of "Do you want to record this for the next hour"....the one you get when you're recording a talk station.

Same here - I like Area 33, then it was called Area 38 - the love button worked the whole time. Since the siriusxm update, the channel number remained the same but the name turned to just area, but is still on channel 38. The channel is available on XM radios in the channel 80 range - so I guess this is one of the channels that is beat until they can fix it - or will they? Now I cant record a single song, I have to record a time frame - this sucks man! It is eating up all my memory...

I was going to post a thread concerning this exact issue and my SL100 but since there is already a thread going on it; I am affected by this ANNOYING "feature" as well. I tried to love some songs on 20 Octane, (Sirius), and recording options came up. What a joke.

I thought this was only isolated to SL100s? I guess not !

I would really love to know how many people this is actually affecting? Im sure there are many that dont even call or try to fix it, they just live with the headache until eventually one day they just lose it in a McDonalds somewhere and just start shooting up the place.

See? We need to get this fixed ASAP before something bad happens. And sirius/ms will be totally liable. :yesshake:

s50s are also doing this.

My wifes radio is an S50. I am going to have to check hers out and see if its happening as well. I asked her about it, but she says she isnt having a problem.

Maybe is she like many other subscribers who dont know that they are having a problem yet because they dont use the extra features that are affected that often??

It's very random when it'll work and when it doesn't. I don't know if it's song specific or station specific.

What part of it being RANDOM to people not understand? :hah:

Hey Joe. I asked my wife about it she did confirm that she was having problems recording songs on her S50 as well. Being the NON Technical person she is she couldnt even describe what was happening so she just gave up on it. She didnt even tell me, I had to ask her about it. I suspect that she is like the majority of the rest of the subscribers. They arent very savvy about owning the radio and if something on it isnt working right they believe they are just doing something wrong and will live with the issues as long as the radio is still working right.

I wish more people would flood the customer support lines with these issues so they would fix it ASAP its so $#@$@#$@#$ ANNOYING. I bought the Stiletto to RECORD SONGS TO LISTEN TO OVER AND OVER AS MUCH AS I WANT and its not working due to the providers fault. I can see if I was jerking around with the radio and i screwed it up fine, but its nothing WE did to cause this issue. Thats what kills me about the whole thing.
