SL100 Just Purchased, How Long is Subscription Good For?

I just purchased a SL100 from a guy and he said he got it from ebay a year and a half ago and said that the subscription has worked fine since then.

Is there a way to tell if I have a lifetime sub. on this unit or do I just wait for it to not work one day?

Also, any other headphones out there to use with it? Has anyone modded the POS that come with the unit to something more comfortable and less dorky?

There is no real way to find out unless he gave you account information.. you can try calling up and giving them your ESN, they are not supposed to give you any information on the account but you might be able to get it out of them... if there is no active account I'd leave it the way it is as you're going to get it free until it stops (if it does)
