So have I.

I've actually emailed stations links to discussions regarding their content.

Excellent! Here's the thing you know but many others may not. We can only help the people who work at the company by inspiring them and telling them how much we love what they do. Only then can we provide criticism, so they don't think we are just a bunch of looney angry online posters.

I'm really thinking of doing a highlighted person of the month that will honor someone in the industry. It might be a cool section.

Thats a great idea. It would be great if said person would do an online chat or something, and give listeners an opportunity to give feedback. Maybe a monthly channel highlight would be cool to. It could help people discover new programming they didn't even know about, or never thought they'd like.

Good stuff! Like you said, it's important that they see that this isn't a place where all they will read is an extensive on line bitch session.

They have no motivation to stop and stay if all they read is people insulting them.

It's a good crowd over here at the DRC. If we can get some corporate participation, I hope everyone stays on their best behavior and offers them polite constructive contributions.

Don't take this for gospel but I believe I read a couple of years ago that employees weren't allowed to participate in forums like this.

Great Question

I do not think that Sirius employees actively participate in these forums but I'm certain that they do check them out to get feedback straight from the subscribers mouth. Large corporations have departments who's entire purpose is to roam the web digging up consumer comments.

I love the idea of inviting someone who represents the company to maybe host a monthly or annual chat session here on DRC with subscribers to answer some of the most common questions. DRC is the leading community for Sirius and XM subscribers and we do have the most level headed and open minded members out of the forums available. Especially when it comes to being passionate about the services!

Excellent idea. :ter: We could ask Evil Ernie to reach out to the suits.

So let's invite them. Even if they choose not to join us in a chat at least they will know about this site and maybe drop by to see what we are talking about and take some suggestions from what they read.

Good call... Let's do this properly and not have everyone sending their own personal invitations. Admins/mods? Want to take the lead on this one?

PS- Sticky-worthy thread I think :)

You know, I really believe that now more than ever, some Sirius-XM "suits" ARE reading this board at times, and might actually be considering what is said here. And that's a good thing!

I think they do, too. How would they know how to bring Backspin back? ;)

I like the idea.

Let me get with the rest of the DRC team and see what we can come up with.

Someone here must have some connections.

(HCLogo, I got your PM.)
