Say Goodbye to These Sirius Channels

After listening to Meg Griffin tonight, it's clear that Disorder is going away after today. I find that hard to believe, since that's one of the purely original, wonderful places on satellite radio. I'm very sad. Therefore, it appears that both services will have identical music channels.

So here's a summary of the Sirius channels going away. Tune in now (for the next three hours) to say goodbye:

Movin EZ
Disorder
Backspin
Strobe
Boombox

I believe the other Sirius music channels, or the XM equivalent, will remain. Is that the summary?

But, looking on the bright side, here is the list I can determine of XM channels that will be added:

40s on 4
90s on 9
Willie's Place (I'm not familiar with how this is different from Roadhouse)
Village (Folk music - I'm very excited to hear folk again on my sat rad)
20 on 20
Enlighten (Southern Gospel)
Loft (Acoustic Rock)
Cinemagic (movie soundtrack)

So although I'm losing perhaps my number one favorite channel (will Vin Scelsa find a new home? Please?), I will focus on the positives (40s, Willie, Village).

Did I miss anything?

I am not sure but hopefully as I said in other threads that MLB and the BCS games along with those XM exclusive bowl games last season come over to Sirius.

It surprises me that they will go without old school rap and disco channels.
But, most of all, I will miss Movin EZ!

Looking forward to Cinemagic, The Village, and 40's.

Anyone a fan of those genres are in for a treat. Liquid Metal is legendary and Deep Tracks is incredible.

I still can't believe that the recognizable Hard Attack brand is history, but I'll give the new channel a chance however it turns out.

I was considering The Blend to be the XM equivalent. I don't know enough about either channel to know if they are that similar. Starlite is gone, but Blend will be here.

It wasn't on your list, and I thought that it was leaving that is why I asked.

Listening to Celtic Crush on Disorder right now. What a great show and station. I can't believe they are letting this one go; and Movin EZ?! Ouch. I'm in denial. :(

channel changes?

I didnt hear of any channel changes on sirius.
I liked the lineup we have.
Why they gotta take away THE STROBE?
now theres no standards and no disco :p

I tell ya Uncle Mel is pissing off both sides of the fence ,I would have just left the programming alone ,that is why people subscribed.

Well it won't be long your denial will be a reality. We still aren't sure about Moving EZ because it seems there are some channels that are staying even though they won't be on XM, very few.
