Returning SL2/Warranty info.

I bought the stiletto back in January and I bought it online at sirius.com with no extra warranty coverage. But now I think my internal antenna is busted, I can not pick up terrestrial signal or even if I hold it up to the air it won't pick up anything. I get terrestrial in my car and radio dock so I know it isn't a problem on sirius's end with a tower. I dropped it accidentally on concrete on its top part a few weeks ago and all of a sudden I can not receive signal anymore.

Now I want to see if there is anyway I am covered under a one year warranty and if anyone else dealt with a faulty SL2 where they had to send it back in under warranty. I know its a small issue but I rather have everything working and if I am still covered under warranty just make sure I can get it dealt with before it expires.

I am not sure what to say to sirius about my problem and if they will actually send me a new stiletto 2 or a refurbished one. Or would I just be better off keeping my SL2 now and not risk sending it in and waiting weeks to get it back.

Thanks

Its a standard 1 year warrentee. It should be covered. You need to call Sirius and they will arrange to swap it out with a refurbished one.

Thanks man, Do you know the average time it will take for the exchange?

Once they agree to it, they will send it to you by some sort of express post. Probably a week. Then you will send back the defective one. They will take your credit card which will be charged if they don't receive the defective one back. They should give you all the instructions you need when you talk to them and the rest in the package with the replacement SL2.

Makes the simple warranty exchange at Best Buy in a matter of minutes look pretty good, huh?

Oh yeah - and you can do it for FOUR years too!

(of course, the extended BB PSP does cost a few bucks - but it's well worth it)

Is Circuit City still honoring their replacement warranty on SL2. I have warranty, but there are none in the store. They say that their policy is now to send in for repair. I'm pretty pissed but if they are going out of business I don't think theres much I can do about it.
