I think I can safely say that most of us Blues fans liked the Sirius Blues channel better than Bluesville as Sirius played a lot more of the harder, rocking blues and Bluesville plays a lot more forefathers of the blues and more mellow, for lack of a better term, type of blues.
Well with all the new Sirius folks now listening to Bluesville, now would be a great time to e-mail the heck out of Bill Wax to play more of the rocking type blues. Bill always balked a bit at doing that saying that we had Stone Blue which plays rocking blues once a week on Thursday from 1-3 PM.
In fact he just said that he welcomed all the Sirius listeners and he said he understands that change can be tough but to e-mail him any time.
I would think now it would be harder for him to ignore the requests for more Stone Blue type blues to be incorporated into the playlist. So, blues fans, lets e-mail Bill to convince him to help us out a bit and pick up with some more rockin blues. Not dominate the channel, but upgrade the playlist a bit with some Walter Trout and such..
Of course if you liked Bluesville the way it has been in the past, I hope I haven't offended you and certainly don't mean to try to speak for everyone. Either way, I am thankful for a full time Blues channel - where on FM could you find that?!.
Anyway, if you agree shoot Bill an e-mail asking for more Stone Blue rock blues. Thanks!
