Rental Car Hell!

Up until several weeks ago, I had the perfect rental car setup. My S50 and an extra dot antenna allowed me to use any rental car like my own car. The S50's FM transmitter was great, allowing me to choose from most any station for my listening enjoyment.

Last week I tried using my new SL2 in a similar configuration. Apparently the Feds do not share my love for Sirius radio. After traveling for an hour and endlessly searching for a new "clean" station every ten miles or so, I started using one earbud to pass away the boredom.

I tried using the "long" FM antenna, the short one from my S50, and neither were satisfactory. Obviously if the rental car had a AUX port I could have used that, but this car did not. Few rentals have a cassette deck anymore.

Any ideas/hints/suggestions?

I am sooo close to buying it...but, man, I've already spent $350+ to have the "best" portable, and it won't work in the car. ARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

It's the price we pay for the satellite radio service we love...:)
