Recovery Software Issure for Stiletto 100

Tried downloading recovery software but get an error--

DPInst result: [-2147483648]"

Looked on Google and seems to be a Driver issue. Sirius Help Desk is NO Help so not sure what to do. Below is the log and states " System requires 64-bit version of DPInst.exe."

I am using Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Thought I was using the optional 32 bit version, but neither will work.

I just read that other people had issues on 64 bit version as well. My laptop is running 64bit windows 7, but I havent tried it on there yet, I'm on my desktop and ran it just fine on 32 windows 7.

I would suggest finding someone with a 32bit OS to try it on and see if that helps. Otherwise I think you may be outta luck, sorry.

Sirius hates Vista, Vista hates Sirius. Try it on XP.

If XP not available, try installing and running it under XP compatibility mode on Vista.

I have the exact same problem on Windows 7 64-bit. I hope SIRIUS will make this work on 64-bit OS's.

My Sirius Studio, on the other hand, works great with Windows 7 64-bit.

Windows 7 64 bit is the problem will not work. I plug into my laptop with windows 7 32 bit and presto image recovered.



This site helped me out a lot. May I just say thanks to all of you I was able to fix my SL100 When Sirius told me time and time again it was broken and there was nothing I can do.

meh, works fine on my vista. i assume its a 64bit issue.
