indoor reception here in the southeast is almost non existant.
my work around was to use a magnetic ant and attach to a van on my carport. i fished the wire through a window and to my sportster.
reception is now 3 bars.

next problem is finding a magnetic ant that has a straight connector to fit my jvc boombox.
my various ants have a right angle plug that wont go in far enough to make a connection.
anyone have a work around?

For that you could use an antenna extension. The antenna will connect with the magnetic antenna and the extension has a straight end to plug into the boombox.
