Pitch Black--I can agree that this movie was awesome. It was WAY better than I expected it to be and please don't EVER compare it to the HORRIBLE sequel it spawned in the "Chronicals of Riddick."

Other cool ones that you might have missed:

1. Mr. Brooks--Kevin Costner as a bad guy. Really cool movie.
2. Fight club--my favorite of all time
3. Memento---a GREAT MOVIE
4. Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
5. Dr. Strangelove--a classic amongst classics. Dark Comedy at it's finest.
6. Angel Heart
7. Death Race--talk about a guilty pleasure movie
8. The Transporter--The first one was far better than the sequels. Good fight scenes.

thanks. did you like this? IIRC it got terrible reviews, but its worth a view if a DRC buddy liked it.

It's very good. Vin Diesel is great and it's a good concept--when the sun goes down, all hell breaks loose. Vargas, I like Chronicles of Riddick, too. I mean, neither of them are Empire Strikes Back, but they're both entertaining sci-fi flicks.

See, I thought Chronicles of Riddick could have been cool but they took a super cool character and tried to do too much with it by making him part of some prophecy and the bad guys look too much like the Battlefied Earth bad guys. I didn't enjoy it at all but hey, to each their own.

Another really cool horror/sci-fi flick that I really liked was EVENT HORIZON.

Oh, and I also liked another Sam Neil movie, IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS.

i don't think i have heard of a single one of those movies, lol

Hold on there. "Citizen Kane" has been ranked at the top of the Sight & Sound poll for the last 38 years. You've really never even heard of it?

I can understand missing "Secret Honor", but "Seven Samurai"? Really?
