Question - MP3's out of order when putting an album on SL2?

Howdy all,

Quick question - is there any rhyme or reason to MP3's being in order when you transfer an album onto the SL2? Most of the time, it seems to work, but occasionally the songs appear in alphabetical order instead of the order they should be in. It doesn't appear to be related to the filenames or the track number in the MP3 tag.

Any ideas?

When this happens to me, I just put a 1, 2, 3... ect., in front of the file names.

The only thing I can think of would be the track number in the tag. When you click on the specific album, it goes in order of the track numbers. All other times it goes in alphabetical order.

It is someting in the tagging.

Download a re-tagging program and use this. I use this for EVERY MP3 that I download. It is kind of a pain to go through what you've already downloaded but to use it on every new download isn't too bad.

I just got a SL2 and noticed this also. When I goto an artist and view an album, it all shows up fine, but when I goto "all" by artist, and even if its the only album, they are in a different order. Not sure if this is the same issue you have.

Sorting by Album, if you tags are correct will put the songs in ORDER as they appeared on the album.

Sorting by Artist and then All will put them in alphabetical order.
