Question about iPhone (MLB-related)

I'm an AT&T customer and will likely upgrade to an iPhone when my current contract runs out in early May. "MLB At-Bat" sounds like the perfect application for us baseball fans, but can a person who already subscribes to Game Day Audio use that from the MLB site on the Internet through the iPhone instead? I don't subcribe to GDA but I do subscribe to a couple of similar streaming audio sports services online. Can I still listen to them through the iPhone without any additional applications? This would seem to be the same as listening to Slacker online through the iPhone. I've played with a couple of friends' iPhones in the last few weeks, and it seems a person can do virtually the same thing online with it as he would do on his computer at home.

Also, what are expected to be the differences between the current iphone 3G and the brand-new one coming out in June?

Does the GDA from the MLB site use flash? If that's the case, then no. If the app works anything like it did last season, the price will gradually go down the longer the season rolls on. By May it could be a $6.99 app or something like that. If you don't already subscribe to GDA, you don't have to do it through the site as it's included in the app itself.

There is no new phone (as far as hardware is concerned) announced as of yet. Iphone OS 3.0 will be coming out, which will include copy/paste, MMS, and a few other major additions to the software. I know of no new hardware being introduced. On the other hand, 3.0 should have it's major coming out party at WWDC on June 8th, who knows if there will be 'one more thing' at the keynote. It would have be something particularly special to get me to upgrade less than six months after getting the 3G myself. :D

You lost me here..........

What new phone in June? Nothing has been confirmed my friend.

Well there has been some leaks about it, but nothing is ever confirmed until the announce, but you can almost rest assured there will be a new iPhone. I'and thousands if not millions of Apple watchers will be shocked if not!

I wouldn't be surprised if it were announced by June, but not released until July or even August to give the developers time to create apps to go with the new specs. If it comes with all the stuff they're saying it does, I may have to upgrade despite the fact I just bought mine in January.

Well them announcing and then waiting would be totally out of their pattern. Usually when they announced all the backend stuff has been completed and usually these things are ready to be shipped within days.
