Ryan Seacrest's co-hosting gig with Kelly Ripa has reawakened Howard's jealous Seacrest rants with a vengeance. Seacrest has never competed with Howard. He has never publically trashed Howard (Howard's "friends" tell him that Seacrest wonders why Howard makes more money. Very dubious. Seacrest is too savvy to that and he probably could care less.) He has appeared on THSS which is normally protection against future trashing by Howard. He is not talentless! Try to do that E! Red Carpet Show Howard. Check out how terrible his competition is on ABC. He actually knows what the celebrities are up to (Joan Rivers had no idea and could have cared less.) He seems to like them and be friends with lots of them. He never misses a beat... even when Sasha Baron Cohen spilled ashes (actually power) all over him (think he had another suit ready just in case). Check out the Dick Clark Rockin' New Year's Eve show. That former clunker was a damn good show this year. Mostly current and very good talent. Very good live performances. No one could have handled American Idol for all those super successful years like he did. Yes Howard.. the guy has talent. Loved this like interchange last week. At the end of rant Howard says: "And he even produces that trashy cop show with Jennifer Lopez!" Robin responds: "I love that show!" Show some respect Howard to him (and Kelly). Control your jealousy. Seacrest has paid his dues.
 
there are far too few celebs that howard bashes these days. i'll take what i can get and welcome the seacrest/jlo rants.
 
Here's where Seacrest falls on my list of "people I'd like to see die": If Trump wakes up one day, realizes how horrible he is, and decides that for the good of America, he should jump off the top of Trump Tower, I'd like him to land on Ryan Seacrest.

Seacrest is as fake and superficial as they come, he's the proper heir to the king of fake - Dick Clark, and he brought the Kardashian's to the viewing public. I'm with Howard 100% on this, and I love that Howard can imitate the "yuk yuk" in his voice.
 
I love a good bash but it is more fun when the celeb is a pompous ass (remember when he used mock Jada Pinkett Smith for talking about herself in the third person?) . No fun when the celeb rises about it and just takes it. Felt the same way about the Jay Leno bashes.
 
Nobody sings songs when I get injections!! Nurses are living saints though.

My take: Howard was very brutal to seacrest. But that lists bit was lame. Copy and past. Kelly has the gift of gab, that's a talent. Seacrest is a solid show announcer, more programmed though. Time will tell on this morning show if he has talent at cracking wise off script. Reading copy on live tv, skill, able to riff on live broadcasts, talent/skill.

I see a sense of humor there but don't see too much comedic talent and I don't quite see him as a side-kick to Kelly Ripa. And lists to sound lame... as least as Howard recounts them. As for riffing on live broadcasts, the Red Carpet is live and he is amazing on his feet. If you switch over to ABC on Oscar night and watch Robin Roberts other ABC interviewers, they are as predicable and lame as can be. Seacrest was also pretty good with the contestants and their families before and after the auditions on AI. It wasn't live but it did not appear scripted. I have never heard his radio show. Wonder what that's like?
 
The radio show is weak. It's classic fm bullcrap, like hollywood live interviews. Typical questions. I'd like to see him go rogue a la stuttering john, just let loose on what he really thinks about these actors and celebrity types.
