been sirius user for 4 years and now going to switch to xm as sirius took away my nba package and college football and basketball games and gave them to xm.

on to my question; have 3 sirius sportser radios and 3 boomboxes to go with these. they are audiovox units. will the car mounts and/or boomboxes interchange with any xm radios or will I have to buy all different equipment. units are plug and play as I live in rural area and have no problem with fm modulator picking up okay.

thanks in advance for the help

The docks will be different. If your current radio power adapters are 5V DC, they will be compatible with most new XM radios. The Sirius antenna should work with your XM radio. But you will probably be buying a new car kit for the XM radio of choice.

Also keep in mind that modern XM (and Sirius) radios have extremely limited FM power. For XM, you will need a SureConnect addapter or direct wire your FM even in a rural area.

Are your radios compatible with BestOfXM? If so, this may be the cheaper way to get the NBA back on your radio.

thanks for the reply; would I be better off buying an older radio without sure connect like ski-fi2 or roady xt without sure connect.

looks like I have 3 cheap radios, car mounts, and boomboxes to sell.

Yes. They should have good FM transmitters. The only caution about used XM equipment is a stolen XM radio, unlike a stolen Sirius radio, may not be re-activated.
