Didn't see a spot in the sports section for cycling so figured I'd post this amongst my Nascar friends...

Talk about a man with a heart and drive, 7 time winner of the Tour De France Lance Armstrong...4 years away from professional cycling and comes back to compete in the Tour De France...21 days of racing over 100 miles a days up mountains I"d have a hard time crawling up....placed 3d in the overall.:cool: To top it off he rode for free...no money. Not quite as big as his comeback after his bout with cancer, but, still quite the feat.

He'll be back next year too...with his own team sponsored by Radio Shack. Anywho...it's all about raising money for LiveStrong...an organization to raise awareness and funds to fight cancer. He's been running marathons and competing in Triathalons for the last couple years...and plans on continuing.

Anywho...truly an athlete with a big heart and a lot of drive. Hat's off Lance.

I moved your threat to the Sports section :)

Good stuff by Lance Armstrong. He's awesome. Hopefully he won't drop dead anytime soon

Thanks...sorry, didn't see the "General"....just the seperated ones and none of them applied. My bad.

I've watched the tour for the last 8 years or so...VS has a great website to follow it "live" each day...even a free "tv" version done in french...have to pay to get the english version:p

Don't worry. It's an easy fix :)

Did they have subtitles? :right:

Was a shame to see Levi break his wrist at the Tour De France...he's a key part of that team and a great person/athlete.

California...I watched most of it this year for the first time with Lance coming back...also the Australian race...got to know more members of the team and develop more appreciation for the sport rather than just watching Lance as a great athlete.

Levi's won California last 2 or 3 years in a row I believe....and I'm pretty sure that TeamRadioShack will be there next year....and Levi just may be on the team with Lance. Astana is having money problems and failed to make payroll several times this last year...riders not real happy. We'll see.

Really proud of all the U.S riders regardless of team this year...they all did great but they are all getting older and not seeing any new U.S riders coming on the scene. Hopefully that will change.

Sadly I kinda predicted that, he always falls. :p (at least he didn't take out lance this time)

Next year they are moving the tour de California out of the rainy season, I hope that really helps it continue to grow.

There are a few of us that are cycling enthusiast here at TSS Radio. Following the tour was awesome and great to see Lance bust his butt to help his teammates along the way. Contador is an outstanding rider, but I feel he owes a lot to Astana and the guys for helping him out so well. The only other teams I really noticed worked together almost as well as Astana were, Garmin Slipstream and Columbia HTC. All 3 are outstanding teams and command a lot of respect. They've got mine, that's for sure!

Im glad to see Lance is going to continue to race and build a great team. I hope he brings Kloden over. That guy is an awesome supporting rider! Other than him Im sure Lance will surround himself with the usual posse and probably bring up a couple of younger unknowns that deserve it. Looking forward to the rest of this years season and next year.

I watched every stage this year and what a journey watching this race is. I hope next year Lance can train a bit better, not get hurt, and contend for the race win. From what ive heard Johan Bruneel will join Armstrong next year which can only mean good things for Lance.

And I read a couple of days ago that Contador will race for a team run by F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso in 2011.
