I've been listening to this station for about 4 hours this evening. I can't believe the music I am hearing on this channel. I am totally loving it and this is certainly going to be added to my G2. I just can't seem to get enough of it.

Has anyone else listened to this channel?

I am going to load it into my portable tonight. After the reading the other post from last week, I was going to try it out but was too caught up with the holiday music.

I have enjoyed this channel all morning again today. I really recommend you all that like this type music to give this channel a try. It has absolutely become one of my favorites.

Unfortunately this morning Slacker announced it was being removed so they could add a single artist channel. I think its Abba! I kid, I kid!!!! LOL hehehe That we don't have to worry about on Slacker!

I enjoyed it but it had a totally different feel from the Coffeehouse. Not that Slacker stations are supposed to be clones of Sirius XM but I'm thinking that the Coffeehouse might not have survived the music merger, if there were no Singer Songwriter label. Only The Loft would have made the cut.

Coffeehouse has always been an odd singer-songwriter channels in that it also includes new music and acustic version of many pop hits. So, in my opinion it is not a true singer-songwriter channel. The Loft has always sort of been an open eclectic mix of music and while it features some singer-songwriters it too isn't a true singer-songwriter channel. But anyway I don't want to turn this topic into a discussion about Sirius XM.

In listening to the Slacker version I think it is a lot more of an authentic singer-songwriter station. This mix is wide and always pretty fresh!
