SIRIUS XM has a new TV ad campaign that starts this weekend.

It features an ad using Elvis, Michael Jordan, Richard Pryor and Howard Stern to get across the offerings on Satellite Radio.

Good to see them being agressive. Don't just expect people to come to you and subscribe. Go looking for subscribers.

They've got to do something..... can't rely on just car sales to grow the subscriber base.

Looks like they are launching a new tagline/campaign alright. Their website has some stuff up.

Looks like they are putting some thought and energy behind this at least.

Also, when you first goto it plays a video that is probably the same ad that will run on tv. Or similar. Features them all like Taylor said. All of them "changed" their industry, Music, Sports, Comedy, Radio, So Sirius is changing how you listen.

    Hopefully it works.

Looks like the websites are starting to converge. The above link is for When you click on the "change the way you listen" at the bottom you get directed to a page with an add for a Express RC or Stilletto 2 or SkyDock.

Tom, you should get your icon at the bottom (in the available here section) as well.

That's good to see them running the ads again. Every little bit helps.

What was the ad from last year? The year before was the Stiletto ad yes?

I did not see any ads this weekend. Hopefully, they can boost sales for the holidays.

The campaign is supposed to start today. I'll have to watch today's NFL games. Would surely think the commercials would air during tonight's Pats-Colts game.

The ads are running during the NFL games. Just saw the whole thing for the first time. Obviously this can't be one of the things bothering Howard. He's the only one alive in the ad that is on Sirius.

To me it looked like the Howard part was added later on. Or it was edited differently. The cuts from the Jordan, Elvis and Pryor were much longer and with Stern it almost looked odd that it was so much quicker.

Was this one of Ross Zapins brainchilds?

Stern fans already know where to find him. I think they are trying to make sure people know there's more to sat then Howard.

It's a good strategy to quiet the 'Howard Stern and that's it' detractors. I'm not sure I'd count on this holiday season since spending is down overall. But it's nice to plan for the future when we're out of the recession.

It also covers all the bases. Music, sports, comedy, and talk/news.

"All Shook Up" is a good choice, as in shaking things up in audio entertainment. It definitely gets a person's attention when that music starts up.

It was a very well done commercial. Probably the best I've seen yet in my opinion.

I'm glad to see them doing something, but I'm not sure this is it. I can't really put my finger on it, but the commercial just didn't grab me. They might need to look into finding a younger, hipper, ad agency. Not that I am either, but again, I'm glad to see them doing something. BTW, the Stern thing looked like an after thought to me too.

What were you expecting to see? Some clips of porn stars riding the 'Sybian' or Sal getting teabagged by Richard?
  19. The ads are not bad, and I also like the new SIRIUSXM.COM website.

Best thing they have done in years.

I think a clip of Howard at a live event or on a stage someplace might have been better. That one seemed a bit strange, but overall, its a good commercial.
