Just in case that none of you guys knew this but there was a nice update late last night.

I have yet to download it, but I will.

There is also a new iTunes 8.0.2 that you must do first, then restart and update your toys.

Happy updating!! :)

I downloaded 2.2 for my iPod Touch last night, though I didn't have iTunes 8.0.2 yet. Anyway lots of bug fixes and certainly worth the time and effort.

Just tonight iTunes told me there was an update for it, so it apparently had not been released last night when I updated.

I'm really thankful for the ability to download podcasts using the iPhone itself. Just in time for my Christmas trip to no internet (except for Starbucks) land. Hopefully 2.3 finally brings push notifications.

I know, I'm glad they allowed downloading of podcasts directly from the iphone, ipod touch.

is usirius for iphone still available on installer or cydia? When I updated to 2.2 I first restored the phone as new so now I need to reinstall all my apps... but I added millardsoftware repository and don't see usirius.

Thanks to anyone who can be of help!

Seems you can download podcast, but can't actually subscribe to them via the download feature on the iPod Touch. Maybe I am missing something! But it would seem to me if you could subscribe, then when there is an update it would show you have an update just like it works with the applications when there is an update. I get an notification for me to download it.

I downloaded yesterday. I'm not too impressed with the update.

Now if I could just get better AT&T service at my house.

Well you know brother I'd have an iPhone today if AT&T coverage was worth a crap where I live and work in the rural areas.

I find the iPod Touch a little more stable with this update in terms of running applications.

I do like when you hit the home button you go to your first page (if you are on another page). :)

Another cool feature I forgot to post is you can delete individual podcasts by swiping left to right. This was in a previous firmware, but taken out for some reason.

Thanks Schlep! I didn't know you could do that! This makes the update even better! :D This makes my iPod Touch sort of like a Slacker (for podcasts).

That would be true if you could subscribe to them via the iPod Touch and then they would automatically download when fresh content is available, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Maybe I am missing something?

True, but yeah I don't believe there is a way to subscribe from the iPod Touch (yet). So maybe semi-Slacker meaning you can download fresh content directly from the iPod but you must do it manually. ;)
