Orbitcast has some cool new pics of the SUBX2.

It's sound quality and speaker setup is exactly like the SUBX1 but this one has a Volume Knob on it and a less industrial look than the SUBX1.

It is important to note while it may still be referred to as a Universal SIRIUS Boombox, meaning using the newer universal docking stations and radios. It won't work with the following radios.

Sportster 3, Sportster 4, and Streamer 3.

Those radios are slightly thicker and don't need a Mounting Plate to make sure that the unit is secure. Now on the new SUBX2 Boombox those units that generally require that mounting plate will slide in and be secure.

TSS-Radio should be getting a batch of the SUBX2s this week. I think by Wednesday.

That's a nice looking boombox if you ask me. I just use a 2.1 speaker setup but I may invest in a boombox soon.

Looks nice, but for smoe reason I still really like my old xact boombox for my xactxtr7. Not sure why. If I ever let go of that thing and get a newer radio, though, then I'll invest in one of these bad boys.

People actually bought Starmate Replays just for the Boomcubes. People loved the compact size of those ones.

Yea I use to own one a Boomcube, I said Boombox by accident. Once I upgraded to a Sportster 4, I sold my old Starmate Replay and Boomcube to my sister and several months later it got ruined because they left it outside in the rain, dust storms and alot of sunny days.

Yeah that is pretty sweet. I know I love my SLBB2 and I use it almost every weekend. We've taken that thing camping, beaching and many other outdoor activities.

It is good to see them getting away from those crappy systems of the past.

The only drawback on these is they are rather large. I can see why the boomcube did well because of its compact size. But boy you really took a hit SQ wise.

What would the chance be that those radios would fit if the guides were removed? Or would the SP3,4 and streamer 3 all still be too large?

We've asked that before and it's a no go. Those guides would have to be sanded down or something as well as a layer of plastic behind it. It would mess it up.

I know a lot of people used their SUBX1 to dock their Stiletto 2, or Stiletto 100 without battery but this new one won't allow for that.

We just got a batch of these in today and it will be up on the site shortly. We are taking some pics of it now. We will test out if you could use a Stiletto 2 in it amongst other things.
If you have ideas or want us to look further into the boombox let us know. Jamie or Matt will be posting about it.

Thats the best looking boombox in a while. My brother in law has one of those boomcubes, but I think they're a little cheesy. I have the first Sportster Boombox and I love it. I think all the older boomboxes at least looked better than the newer ones. But this one is the best since then.
